A Railway At Rest

Post by Narrow Minded » Sat Jul 07, 2012 11:46 pm

Just back from our gig at the Barmouth Festival. Our route home just happened to take us past the "Hallowed Turf" and simply driving on was not an option! ;)

Even though operations were long finished for the day, it was still light and there were plenty of photo opportunities and some tasty reference material to gather - in fact, not having the usual distractions of activity around the line made a pleasant change :D

Here's a few examples - trust me, each of these (including Chattenden and the end of the tipper shot 'contre jour') have provided me with a wealth of weathering & detailing ideas;

It was nice that my spirit had a "lift" after this visit, even though there was nothing to see! :D
