can anyone tell me what the IP jessie is like. I keep hearing the words 'plastic gears' chucked around. Experience with RC tanks tells me that this courts disaster. The same question applies to the shelley tram. Should I follow my gut and buy an Essel chassis?

From peronal experience, I'd recommend the Essel chassis for build quality and reliability

The Jessie is a good machine, I have had issue's with mine regarding not the actual gears but the plastic gearbox housing. Currently on my second gearbox case (Replaced free by IP), so far it seems to be holding up. However I am still looking out for a metal replacement for the gearbox when I can find something. Bar that & the self tapping screw method of construction (which I didn't use) it's a good machine.

thanks for the info, I think I've found a solution in the Perfect World tram! Nice wooden body I can varnish combined with an Essel chassis!
