Aaahhh! Why didn't I ask for a chuff pipe and spec glasses sooner, as well as a new regulator handle? The one I fitted for when I installed radio control on my caradoc isn't exactly pretty.
Looking forward to my chuff pipe and spec glasses arriving (Thanks Sparkes farther and son)

Are these spectacle glasses the ones that used to be listed on ebay?
If so do you have any contact details for the seller? I'd like to get some for my IP Jane & IPS Janet.
If they are the plastic ones then I recall that they were listed as not suitable for meths fired locos which rules out my Mamod/MSS's at present.
I like that replacement regulator, just like the double ended regulator fitted to full size industrial steam locos.

Recived my LocoLines cab sheet transfer today, I paid for the removal of the text, as I belive this suits my loco better, I think it looks rather good and hopfully will look just as good when it's on the engine!

Its a general pattern that varys from region to region. BR did red and cream so did the Caley, LNER had cream and a silly fake wood finish etc

I had somehow missed this topic, until now ! Regarding the Nielsen chuff pipe, this is just a chuff pipe, and has no regulating abilities. It was designed by my friend Frede Nielsen who fitted it to his Accucraft Superior. It sounds really good when the loco is pulling a load, and has the extra advantage of retaining oil which then burns off gradually giving a fairly continuous trail of blue smoke.... not so good at indoor exhibitions!

Machining is necessary however. I have the .pdf file for the full size drawing with dimensions on my PC waiting for anyone who wants the design to contact me. If anyone is interested send me a PM with your email address, and I'll send it to you.
I will just add that Frede does not mind anyone using his design, but it is copyrighted and not to be used for commercial production.

Wahay, I've now had my dad apply the cab sheet transfer, and I've made and added a coal 'greedy', atleast that's what my dad calls 'em, I haven't taken a photo of the cabsheet as it looks a little rough, hopfully when it's tidied up it won't look to bad, but then transfers are tricky things.

Well you told me you wanted to call it 'Edrig', so perhaps that would do... how about a toolbox/bunker? Easy to make as SB demostrated...

Ady should name it 'Jess' after his dog, it's obvious, the dog is rather large and friendly, and so is an 'Edrig'!

Good idea, I name my locos after my dogs, Ben-Ben being my old one. But will my loco Lucy being destroyed bring fate to my dog?!!!
