I'm sorry about that- I must have missed your introductory thread. I admit I assumed there was an underlying health problem and didn't really like to ask, but I have come across people asking similar questions on another forum (Land Rovers actually- but I'm a similar vein) for no other reason than they were afraid to have a go.

I think part of the reason for the lack of response here is that it's fair to say the majority of us are amateur modellers here, I know there are one or two exceptions to this but I suspect most of us are shying away because we aren't sure we'll be able to make something that's good enough! That, along with the time factor, is why I haven't offered- I'm a final year university student, life is a bit hectic!

:D Hello Again
I must firstly thank you and others who have looked at my request and for quite understandable reasons have not wished to offer there services...It is a difficult one i know...I must just say that i have being so overwhelmed by kind offers of support..can not thank folk enough..

It is true i do hope i can have a small layout/scene/diorama and of a high quality..otherwise it seems a lot of effort maybe wasted...
I really am unsure how best to move forward with this...

The offer of free accomadation in part exchange still stands with certain provisos...I could show prospective builders the kind of thing i am after on the large scale association site?well i think it is?? but there was a shed scene G1that looked very close to my thoughts for a layout with a turntable and sidings to allow at least some movement

anyway all the very best to you

Cheers Steve :D

Hi Rune...
I was shocked to receive your reply..so revisited the site the owner seems to have just had enough of the personal attacks..such a shame..i have seen this kind of thing on other forums and whilst not having any clue as to waht as forced Jason in to this action..I can only sympathise..and wish him well....

For whatever reasons and from where ever they originate, there does seem to be a very dark side to the internet..where a few unsavoury types can destroy people by words alone...and spoil it for the vast majority of fine folks...i myself have being victim of this..and it is not nice at all....and one of the reasons, i really do not like Forum format even though i use them...

I am told by some folk, if i can not stand the heat e.t.c e.t.c....i was born super sensative so anyone remoetely like me are going to take things said via the forums very much to heart..and if you are the site owner..in what after all is supposed to be a fun hobby and you are driven to close the site something is wrong somewhere

all the best Steve
