You've certainly got a bit of work to do, after all that track laying.

Re: Flood at Sugar Cane Railway in Bundaberg Aust
I know of big floods that happened in 2010, 2011 2013 (that one filled the shed up to the roof) and now this one, long term residents talk about others. It is mostly caused when a tropical low or an ex cyclone comes down from the north and drenches the catchment of the river. There is a dam upstream but it is at 203% capacity, they lowered the spillway because of fears of collapse the 2013 flood washed away underneath the wall. Another one is proposed downstream from it but it is being talked about ever since I came here in 2019. Might get kicked along after this especially since a local member of the government got flooded out.

Oh s***, not again.
I hope you had the chance to rescue equipment from the workshop before it went under.

Luckily no water in the workshop or the station only the office, smoko room, they got in before and put a lot of stuff up high so dodged a bullet there.Old Man Aaron wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2026 11:54 am Oh s***, not again.![]()

Glad to hear that, though a huge job regardless.
We're lucky our geographic position on a gentle hill in Woodford, keeps any floodwaters away.
