That 'polished metal' was already developing a patina before I got around to painting it. I live in a coastal area and the metal corrosion rates are still appreciable a few km inland. Never have figured out why people will pay a premium for sea views.......

That's why the model is battery electric. I wasn't convinced I could get a steam powered model to work for those same reasons.
