What is the Forum's opinion on using recycled water from a condenser dryer for use in a steam boiler ?
I have been using rainwater in my live steam locos. I normally collect it and pour it through a paper coffee filter. It is surprising how much black particulates are in the filter .I presume from all the air traffic . I am aware that the ice in a freezer is a good source but that's in short supply in my household.

I wouldn't..
It will still have a little detergent and parfums in it, plus 'whatever' is in conditioner to 'soften' clothes.
An air conditioner (dehumidifier) is a different matter.

Re: Condenser Dryer Water
As I have related before, there was a great debate between the ministry of supply and Rolls Royce as to the quality of the water to be used in Spitfire and other Merlin engines. Ernest Hives put a red line through the lot and said it must be drinkable.
I tried a sip of tumble drier condenser water, it was utterly horrid, very soapy, quite disgusting. Thing is a lot of the water is simply blown off the clothes as droplets, so most of it is not distilled in any way and it contains a lot of detergent and fabric softener.
I use water out of the butt that comes off the greenhouse roof. I filter it first.
