I spent a happy couple of hours yesterday with Peter Butler at his line West Wales. The rain stayed off for most of the time and allowed me a chance to get a few pictures of his spectacular line.

It looks great Jim. It's lovely to see some of the features Peter has described elsewhere appearing as part of the more general vista. It's a great looking railway and it looks like you were having a great time.

I particularly liked the biscuit siding with it's associated biscuit wharf! I bet the biscuits were gradually 'transported away' during the days proceedings!

Had to go back for a second look for that one!!
As Andrew has said, great line , and great pics., plus plenty of steam. Looks like a good time was had by all. Ol' Bill certainly fits in Jim.

A small but select gathering of friends, plenty of fresh coffee and even biscuits (I can't believe they appeared in the pictures!!!!!).
Always a good show of steam when Jim turns up and an opportunity to use the railway, which I have to admit is a rare thing when there is just me.
Already looking forward to the next visit.

While your admitting Peter, I can confess to spending the morning clearing debris and opening my line, which hasn't even seen a gardening train for some time.

Looks wonderful a great line fantastic backdrops as well,

Must get some scale rain spots on the loco's though.......

Some lovely pictures particularly the last one with the steamer behind the wall. Trainspotting days that would have been a rush to see the train disappear.

Great set of photos chaps. Glad you managed to doge the showers, though looks like some of the locos didn't.

Hope the biscuits didn't get soggy. Like Grant, I missed them the first look through. Focusing on the trains.

I tided up your post Jim as you had loads of image code that was not doing anything...

I like your new loco as it has justified me using a non-red buffer beam on one of my locos, thanks!

Thanks for doing that Tom,

I now have several locos, both steam and a couple of I/C that have buffer beams in alternative colours. I seem to have developed a liking for Wasp Stripes.

Me too Jim, and here's one which Tom will recognise.....

Incidentally, if there is anyone out there who would like us to promote their products in picture form on the B.U.R.P.S. we would be happy to oblige.... obviously biscuits and alcohol are top of our preferred list!!!!!

It is always a joy to run on Peter's line. The track is very well laid and smooth and the scenery is splendid and the hospitality is second to none.
