Hi all!
I'm looking for some detailing parts for some loco projects and wondered if anyone can recommend where to get them from?
I'm looking for:
Brass spectacle plates
Dummy whistle
Exhaust pipe
IC loco style headlamps, which don't have to work!
Thanks!
Nick

A guy on EBay makes all sorts of sizes of 16mm loco spectacle plates except 25mm for which Rob (Swift 16) makes the swivel opening type.
Exhaust (rather than chimney) is easy to make with lightweight brass tube to suit model type.
Dummy whistle easy to make as above.
Headlamps depend on type. From Cambrian (cheap plastic which will take an LED and easy to fit, to EBay 10/5/3mm 12V with chrome bezel enclosures to set into diesel loco front plates etc. Lots of more expensive options about but cheap is good. Finally fine brass sheet and a soldering iron can work wonders with box shaped headlights, with several examples of the simple builds out on the web.
