Looks like Royal Mail has adopted Border Control despite the No vote.

Hopefully it appears tomorrow so I can read it on the train early Saturday morning as I travel to run live steam on the East of Scotland's group modular layout at the Dundee Model Railway Show.

Mine arrived yesterday. Unable to read it yet as the bloody cat decided to go to sleep on it and refuse to wake up. As I like the skin on my arms and face I left her to it.

Got mine yesterday but i'm afraid to read it. The postman handed it to me as I left the house and he seemed very pleased at not having to squeeze it through the letterbox. I did not open it until late last night when I had a quick skim through. Theres no doubt Andrew has gone out with a very big bang.

I dare not have a look today as I have other things to do like a job interview etc and if I pick it up I won't get anything else done so it will be a weekend read for me....

Everybody seems to think that 150 was Andrew's last magazine, when in fact it isn't - the November issue will be his swansong.

Perhaps being slightly mislead by your previous statement.

I'd agree Chris. I very rarely go on the Assoc website, not because I have anything against it, I just simply never think of it. I read SMT and the Bulletin from cover to cover(-ish) , but that's about it, I'm slightly ashamed to say, and I very much doubt that I'm the only one. Possibly SMT is SO good that the website somewhat pales into insignificance?

Got my Chinese built wagons from a country outside the UK (IOM) using Royal Mail and they took less than 24 hrs. So quick I wasn't in to sign for them.

I suspect your package from Trackshack actually started its journey courtesy of Oik Postagh Ellan Vannin, before being forwarded by Royal Mail once it arrived in the UK (just like the cheap airmail packages from China which cost less overall than the equivalent postal rate within the UK).

My Border Control comment was supposed to be 'tongue in cheek'. With several 1000 SMT's to send out there must be a logical divide in who gets what when, or perhaps not. It is certainly not alphabetical as my SMT has not arrived yet so I'll have to read something else on the train tomorrow.

From all the questions being posted on the Facebook Groups & Yahoo Groups you are not alone.

It is somewhat ironic that an official announcement needs to be made in the Association Yahoo Group & Facebook Group to advise members to look at an addition to the Shed Notices.

I hear there is a good article on tweaking the Mamod Brunel so looking forward to reading that when it finally arrives.

Mine arrive yesterday with quite a thud. A very impressive issue I'll look forward to reading but the Bulletin was a bit redundant as most of the dates had past. Still good for all the colour photos though.

It's not physically possible for them all to go in the mail in one go - I think they go out over 3 days.................... and I wes WRONG over the change of Editor - the ineffective web site's got it righr!
