Looks great, really quirky, like the big fire engine-style number on the front...

How long's the run? It'll look great but perhaps won't be the most fun to drive...

Is that basket bit extra passenger accommodation? Just found this photo ( don't think it was taken in your cellar) but they might be crew...

That basket is where the server for the R/C is going to have to go

The run isn´t that long ....

Let´s just imagine that the French narrow gauge company, Decauville, found itself forced to open up shop in Wales, searching for new markets after sales plummeted post-First World War. But the harsh climate of the slate quarries forced them for the first time to think about enclosed cabs ....

Can´t resist a space on the line for a new building. This is going to be slightly "quirky". Based on Fyndon´s Gate in Canterbury, it answers the question whether it would have been more sensible to build a railway to the site and through the main gate .....

The Double fairlie looks like a lovely loco. What sort of radius curves do you have on your railway?

Very nice, when I learned that Steward Browne was going to start building locos again a few years ago, I must admit that I thought this is one that wouldn't be revived from the old range. How is it fired?

This one is gas-fired. Looking forward to trying out a new "heritage" locomotive.

Stewart Browne and I have been debating curves. The only thing that´s been done is to move the toolbox up onto the boiler (where it was according to the photos a little later in its short life). Otherwise we figure it will go round the K&NWLR. The harbour branch may be a tight squeeze though.

Love the Kerr Stuart! Must admit I can't make up my mind on the Simplex , just because I've never seen a lined one I guess - it's reminding me of the Groudle Glen battery locos, utilitarian locos tarted up for the passsenger's benefit. Either that or an armoured Punch and Judy...

The Simplex is going to be called St Trinians for simple reason that she´ll be running the school specials and its a dangerous job for the driver ..... and yes we do have the school here on the line.

Fair enough! Don't think I'd sign up to drive the St T school train - I've watched the Great St Trinians Train Robbery!

I once met a bloke who went to school on the Romney Marsh. He was horribly bullied until one day he snapped - and threw one of his tormentors right out of the RH&DR train that was taking them to school. Strangely enough the bullying stopped after that...
