Yesterday, SLRmidge threw open the rails of his Silverdale Light Railway (North) to the whole of the NWAG, as usual held fairly early in the year before vegetation growth makes his line completely unusable (this state of affairs usually happens around the middle of June). As it was the first few trains had to push their way through the early season growth, although one of the real track trouble spots had been relaid with new track and trackbed a couple of days before. Victor Isle was nowhere to be seen (although he was believed to be continuing his efforts to get the line closed) However, there were no crashes for once and only one instance of a loco rolling on its side after a train derailed.

An Accucraft Leader, from one of the new wave on NWAG lines, the Ffew and Ffar between Railway. Alas, this line is expected to close soon due to a house move.

Simply 7/8th's Baldrick and train from our tame Preston based member.

Something a bit more familiar, Hartside from the Forest Fields Railway, we're next off there in the middle of June. FFR Mike also brought news of a further extension to his railway following land acquisition.

Many thanks to SLR midge for a good afternoon. Next week, the return of PTLR fest!
