Very nice! I like the coal bunker idea! It looks much better than the glued on wedge that looks like it shouldn't be there... I had pondered about the wedge before I opted to make use of my tender...

Thanks guys The frames haven't been altered at all, I moved the rear drag beam back and made some extentions for the buffers.

Very nice, agreed as others on the bunker, but my interest is the bufferbeams. Did you make those yourself with the rivets?

I did make them myself, brass sheet with holes drilled then copper rivets soldered in.

Would love to see some pictures of how you did that cab extension and moved the buffer beam back

Here you go Steve. Its reasonably simple, the brass pieces are for the buffers as I didn't want to try making the bolt longer. The bunker itself just bolts on using the handrail holes. If you want a look in person I can bring it down to peterborough.

Interesting way of extending the rear bufferbeam.

I got some spare tanks and cab front from eBay for modifying my Mamod. Unfortunately, the previous owner cut the rear tabs on the back of the tanks where the buffers were to bolt on?

That does indeed look superb. At this rate I may have to send you a box of mamod for fettling!

so simply, two bars and longer screws is all it takes?

I am with the buffer extenders, great idea, I can easily knock some of those up in the lathe I think where I would struggle is with the meths burner which is a "Gremlin" special and looks like it would have issues screwing the retaining bolt up as the burner will not move back with the buffer beam. I think I will have to make a new part to slide in there so the whole buffer beam doesn't move back, just the buffer and a "fake" buffer beam. Either that, or how did you over come the attaching the burner again? What burner are you using?

Im using a vaporising type burner I made, so I could just drill another hole in the burner bracket.
