Frosty Maenofferen

Post by SillyBilly » Sat Jan 03, 2009 9:55 pm

It was such a nice day today that dad fancied going for a walk up Maenofferen, I wasn't expecting to see anything exciting but with the recent bout of cold weather was really looking beautifel.

Wow, some really lovely pics there, although if my dad had known you were going wandering near an incline winch house, he would probebly have asked for some pics (ok fess up time here dad thinks he's built the winch house too tall and the waggons are being pulled up by the rope as they go over the top)
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

I said that when I saw it working!

Hmm, went walking on Tarn Hows last Christmas, :)
'Oliver's no use at all, thinks he's very clever. Says that he can manage us, that's the best joke ever. When he orders us about, with the greatest folly. We just push him down the well. Pop goes old Olly!'

Just aswell I thought of the ANLR when we got to the top of No.2 incline, the wagons didn't go under on this one but you get the idea, I thought about your railway!!!
