Derelict engine

inspired by an engine of another modeller I have started the dereliction of my OTTO

the cab has already had some realrust powder and 6 months in the garden to weather just need to start on the boiler and that

all the electric bits and pieces have been removed

Having been to a weathering lecture, I go by the theory of 'weather what is actually there'.

So sorry, but where is the:

Rust in all the joints, around rivets etc.? As well as the vertical streaks...

That would explain why it's in the projects section, I do like the 'bin liner' on the chimney, perhaps you could bury it in a shed like Duke the lost engine :lol: 8) .

no not just 45 it was around a long time and got people interested in garden railways once they where interested those who wanted to model Bristish lines would leave the old stainz set behind and go 32 which until recently (last 5 or so years) was the only scale you could get decent british stuff

No indeed! Looks good :D

And as and SM45 modeller who uses some items of LGB stock - can I just say that there is nothing wrong with 45mm gauge or LGB! :roll:

Yes, without LGB there would be no where to start for some people, it's that or mamods.

I just dont like all the plastic that LGB involves, i hate plastic.
And i am more a british style person. As far as i know, lgb has no british style stuff.

Diffrent people diffrent views.
