December steam up

Post by riveresk » Mon Dec 22, 2008 3:49 pm

Deck the halls with boughs of holly, fa la la la la la la la la. 'Tis the season to be steamy, fa la la la la la la la la.

It's up, the video of the December meet at the Afonglas and Nant Llywyd Railway. I have loads more clips to use so there's the possibility of another, non-festive vid. Who knows? Nadolig Llawen everyone and enjoy. :santa:  :reindeer:

I think I went through at least three different pieces of music trying to find one that would fit, (thinks she's found the reason why Slade was so popular, lol). The only problem that I had with this piece was that it was too short. Ah well, as I've said, I might do another one to non-christmas music.

Edit: I've just remembered, I have Deck the Halls in Welsh on a cd. That should work, lol.

A great Vid RiverEsk. Some rather jaunty angles, but i've found that seems to be the art of your filmography, and it works well!!

Lol, the art comes in putting the camera down, not being able to see the viewfinder properly and so fingers crossed and trust to look. If it's pointing towards the track, I'm happy.

A great few actually, although that became a great many as soon as the train set off. Several derailments and a failed engine later and the refunds for passengers sent me to the brink...
Actually the van was put on by PTLRcecil, not me, as the train was originally to be just goods, but it was a bit short so we added one of the passenger rakes, and Cecil put the van on the back, as it was weird I decided to leave it there
My video will be along later, as i've decided to do a general "Christmas on the ANLR", this will show the steamup, the first run of the Lady Anne on christmas day and also the trip to the PTLR this Saturday

In my comments I complain about lack of incline footage, as you can't get on there to read it!!
When can we see some photos of it pleeease?

I'll try and get some tommorow or the day after, and I have managed to read the comment after doing a shut down and restart! I would of liked to have put more in but I was limited by the amount of footage I had because I was operating the incline, so I borrowed one of SLRmidge's clips (his only one of the incline). The only other person to get a vid of it running was riveresk, which of course she used in her own video!

It is the longest video I have put on youtube, that might have something to do with it
