Wow, nice job. His eyes must be going crossed from the rivets.
What chassis are you using?

I'm really looking forward to getting out and giving it a good run, the doors open and it's getting some interior details. I plan to fit radio gear to control it, it uses the swift sixteen chassis, not the cheapest chassis on the market but the quality is superb

Clever. I've worked in card and thought never again. Mainly the curves and how it can damage in the build handling. Well done Dad!

Truly impressive bit of modelling. I wish my builds looked that good in extreme close-up.

Thanks guys, you are all very kind, and who knows I might just being it to Peterborough!
I was a little worried about the paintwork, my dad had spent so long on it and I didn't want to mess it up!
Just some last little bits to add and then fit the rc equipment and it will be all done!

That is a very clever piece of model-making by your dad, and an extremely accomplished paint job by yourself.
It looks as though it really has aged with painted over rust spots and general wear and tear. The weathering is just right!
I have seen card models before but not up to this standard.
The best things in life are free.... so why am I doing this?

Marvelous job - I really like the mark in the paint left by the handle, such attention to detail really lifts the model.

Mr bond, I would love to claim that the door handle mark was detailing, but it's a real mark, the doors open and the handle works!

Thanks all for the kind comments, my dad has worked his socks off to make this a reality, I can't wait to fit the RC and have it running, look out for a video!
