can brass be anealed and hammered so it has a curved flange on it?


so it has a flange all the way around a curved piece like this?

Yes, it's certainly possible to anneal and work brass to give a shape like that, probably best to work around a hardwood block and anneal regularly. I need to do something similar on the front of the sheetwork on my Ruston loco, around the radiator grill.
