Storms

Post by Big Jim » Wed Oct 08, 2014 10:18 pm

I am currently sat in the dark due to a power cut. All the candles and oil lamps are packed away in one of the sheds after doing the living room out last year and my son and heir has flattened the batteries on our emergency torch.
The mobile internet is still working and I have a glass of something strong within reach.
Anyone else had their evening buggered up by the foul weather?

It's not affected me, but just up the road in Alfreton they had a tornado which has torn the roofs off houses, uprooted a traa and turned 4 cars over! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-de ... e-29542740 for more...............

Clear as a bell this morning, but the electric was on and off all night. Problem was every time it came back in various things in the house bleeped, some repeatedly! No damage thankfully. We don't get tornadoes down here in Wales, the Welsh assembly can't afford them!

Yes Jim, that was quite a storm last night and we live so close to you it had the same effect on our household!
My major concern was for my young Springer, who was petrified by the loud thunder which she experienced for the first time.
All clear now.
