Visiting Steam at B.U.R.P.S
I have just finished sorting out my Merlin Maestro and took it and a few other items over to the wonderful line belonging to Peter Butler. We spent a very pleasant few hours steaming both the Merlin and my Carodoc and playing with various other battery locos including my sons Dewinton and a few of Peters amazing models.
Thanks Peter for a smashing afternoon.

Thank you for your comments Jim, it was a real pleasure to have your locos running on B.U.R.P.S. this afternoon. I also appreciated the opportunity to use your RC which I am still building into my Billy and not yet familiar with.
I may be at the end of the known universe but an invitation for other Forum members to visit is very much available.
I'm not sure about the use of snowploughs on my line but if you are willing to give it a try I will do my best to accommodate your desires!....... Only 16 weeks 'till Christmas! (sorry!!!!)

It was picture of the week a few weeks ago.
The Merlin is currently in bits in the shed after being repainted. I am currently on a self imposed ban from the shed due to work and other commitments so it will be a few weeks until it is back together.
The gas knob is still in the same place, I don't think I will move it as it would result in major surgery on a rather nice old loco.

Thanks Jim. We do get sunshine occasionally between the rain, sleet, fog etc.lovely pictures I do believe I saw there was some sunshine too
Peter's line is a wonderful railway to run on and beautifully built. Plus it is great to take pictures of. We have even had a few running sessions in more typical Welsh weather and it still looks great.
