The Great GRF Photo Competition - Summer 2014 Entries

Post by laalratty » Sun Apr 20, 2014 9:05 pm

In the absence of working internet for James at the moment (it appears the sheeps in Wales are nibbling on his internets) I am starting the Photo Competition this time. Congratulations to K&NWLR for his victory in the previous competition. He has chosen the theme of "Summer time and the living is easy". All entries to be posted on this thread by 18.00 on June 15th. Personally I think there are plenty of possibilities with this theme, so lets see lots of entries!
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

Comments are good, but more entries would be better! You all have 1 month, as of tomorrow...

Some themes could restrict numbers of entries but most of us would struggle not to find a relevant entry with a theme like this. This is even if you are southern hemisphere and your photo is a few months old.
I've got some possible entries but I'm waiting for my open day by which time I will have cleared most of the leaves and the ravages of the recent wet weather. :D

Original entry removed. Apologies to those who like the original entry but the photo wasn't very well thought out. In fact it was fingers crossed, point and shoot and as a result it had it's limitations.
I expect some will disagree with me when I say I think my later entry is a better photograph.

Sorry I don't know I will try and find out for you though. This was taken during the CLR's recent Open Day which was very busy.

rebelego has just kicked the legs out from underneath others so far. What a superb location and a lovely photo.
Can't compete with the location so I'll have to try a bit harder with the photo.

This is the right place for your photo - and it doesn´t matter if it´s already been posted elsewhere on the site IMHO.

The loco in the first pic by Andy is (I cant quite remember his name but I think its richard?) a large model of the C&M Chevalier on a ragleth chassis.
