Building scale
Great stuff thank you! I've got a few other projects on the go but may make a start on some buildings in the spring... And to return to the topic, the plan is that I'll stick to true 16mm scale but perhaps re-imagine certain buildings to fit the space. So, for example, because I've got a Welsh Highland theme I'm planning to invent a small station building/office that'll use standard and recognisable NWNGR architectural features but fit in the smaller space available at my passing station... That resin casting technique should really help with windows and doors...

Since I don't know what I'm doing either, I went for the smallest/cheapest quantity of silicone which seems to be this one:
1 x Value BUDGET RTV Silicone Kit SOFT Shore A 20 - 0.525kg Kit (Budget RTV 0.525kg Kit)
Catalyst Speed Fast - Poltife 10 mins
I also got some Fillite powder to bulk out some resin I already have from a job mending a grp bowl, a couple of months ago:
1 x Fillite Powder - 1kg Bag (Fillite 1kg Bag)

Tesco chicken chunks in gravy make great storage and a tasty snack if Archie and Hamish will share. These specialised containers are available at 2 quid each, paypal preferred.[/quote]
Alas I may never have the opportunity to try. Morrisons is the preferred option...... staff discount applies!

Not wanting to hijack the thread any more than necessary, but I think this does go here to finish off the earlier stuff.
Excellent delivery from Tomps and I spent part of yesterday afternoon making the master and mould for a set of 5 identical window frames that I need. Then spent this morning, on and off, casting the frames.
I'm really chuffed for a first attempt.
The pic shows one just out of the mould, with flash, one cleaned up, and one sprayed with primer. The primer really shows up the pinholes due to bubbles, but I can soon deal with them!
