Body kits for Edrig
I am thinking of getting an Accucraft Edrig, and was wondering whether there are any (easy to fit) kits for adding a cab to it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
B

Also, I meant to post this to the "Live Steam" forum - I will repost there but please don't think I'm ignoring you here!

Right, I see. This model rail stuff is blinkin' complicated, isn't it? Just as I think I understand it, I find out there is yet another scale I haven't heard of. I'm just glad I'm not a purist - I just want something vaguely British looking to run round the garden!SillyBilly wrote: Yes but No!
Edrig is a very large 16mm scale loco as it has been designed for use with both 1:19 (16mm scale) and 1:20.3 (G Scale), and therefore Edrig looks right on with G Scale stock and on G Scale railways.

And half as much again on top price wise...made-in-england wrote:Maybey a Caradoc. Pretty much the same as an edrig but with the cab allready on and premenant
The simply 7/8ths cab is very tall- and yes, I am thinking of the 16mm version- don't have any photos but Pete might of Tag's engine fitted with it.
It turns Edrig into a very pretty engine, but in my opinion one that's too tall to really run with much and look right.
I've seen several scratchbuild cabs that either just sit on top or replace the spectacle plate which in my opinion actually look neater.

That'll teach me for not clicking the link... you got any comparison photos with any of the other engines there Pete? It's pretty but I still think it's too tall. It looked fine on those HLW hoppers (which are pretty big) but decidedly odd on the accucraft IoM coaches.SillyBilly wrote:That is Tag's.SillyBilly wrote:http://simply78.ng-works.net/16mm/baldrig.html
Just my opinion of course!
