Inspiration has arrived
I have just received my self purchased Christmas pressies today. The two books that I brought for myself a few days ago have come.
They are Iron Sherpa vol. 1 and the Darjeeling Garrett and the locomotive it tried to replace.
Sadly the current wife has confiscated them both in order to wrap them and hide them for the next five weeks!
Before they were snatched from my grasp I did manage to have a quick flick through them both.
The DHR Garrett book is a mine of information on both this loco and the Class B. It is basically a book of diagrams and is ideal for us modellers.
I am still after a copy of the second Iron Sherpa book which I think will be more useful as it contains more information on the DHR stock. But vol. 1 still promises to be a damn good read.
I think that once the West Wales Narrow Gauge Rly. (Gwili valley extension) is build a few Indian Locos may appear.
