New Swift Sixteen Mamod size range.

Post by swiftsixteen » Mon Nov 04, 2013 12:35 am

EDITED.

I have made a Mamod sized coach.
It is under Oscillator range.

Please take a look at swift sixteen.

You will need to find your own way there as it seems some are having problems with my link !

Thanks.

HTTP vs HTTPS

Post by swiftsixteen » Mon Nov 04, 2013 10:49 am

Rob has asked me (his web developer) to clarify the link situation for him. He is concerned people may be worried if they see negative looking comments about his posts/links which understandably may negatively affect his business/reputation.

So, to clarify, the link he posted has HTTPS, which stands for : Hypertext Transfer Protocol SECURE.

The reason he has posted a secure link on this forum is because he logs into his site securely as administrator and has simply copied the link from his address bar.

If users who have some types of antivirus software click this link, their anti virus will say ah, you clicked a link that reports to use a secure connection therefore I'll ensure that it goes to the place it reports to go to, ie .co.uk, unfortunately, the .co.uk redirects to .com and so the anti virus software gets worried and informs the user there may be a problem, the wording of that message is unfortunate in this instance.

I hope this helps to clarify the situation, I have tried not to use too technical language, I have asked Rob to ensure that any public links he posts in future do not use the private secure connection but instead the public http instead.

Regards, Richard.

Sorry, but this link doesn't work for me. Norton said: "get out right now it's a booby-trap"...

I have removed the problematic link.

You will find the coach on my site under Oscillator range.

Thanks,
Rob.

These look a good idea - a detailed upgrade to the 'tinplate' Mamod/MSS range :D

Now, that tender mentioned intrigues me...;)

Very nice model Rob, and the optional Duckett is a nice touch.
