Live Steam loco kits

Could somebody please point me in the direction of 16mm live steam loco kits?
I have looked at the Roundhouse Kits but would like to have a look at what others might be offering. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places but there seems to be little on offer.
Ideally I would be looking at a complete kit, so I have all I need to assemble a working model.

You can buy a Roundhouse kit and fit one of the body's made buy another firm or look at these sites below.

I like the look of the DJB Robert loco, but I wonder if coal firing is a little ambitious for a relative newcomer to 16mm steam. I would be interested to know if the Robert body could be used with a gas fired boiler and RH chassis.

If you go to the "New Products" page on the DJB website, there's a gas fired version of "Robert" listed

If you are looking for a dual (actually multi) gauge locomotive kit have a look at the Regner Lumber Jack kit. I obtained one 2nd hand off eBay and after learning the different techniques to be used with the gas filler valve & burner I now have a good strong loco which runs at some nice slow speeds due to its gearing.

If you are not very strict on the 16 mm scale, there are a few more German alternatives in G scale 1:22.5:
Herrmann Echtdampf and
Reppingen.

there is the 16mm association kit of victory coming up but you have to sign up pretty quick for that one

Thanks for all of the advice guys. I already have an MSS tank that is slowly evolving into a great little engine. It does need a companion though
.
I have looked at some of the various options and I just keep coming back to the Roundhouse Katie. It looks great, will handle tight curves, the ones I envisage when I finally start to build my own line. Judging from other posts on here, the build quality and backup from RH appear exceptional. So I think I have made my mind up.
I will probably have to wait until the end of the year but unless anything desperately interesting crops up, a Katie it will be.

Good luck to you. I had a lot of fun building a Roundhouse kit. The instructions are exceptionally good.
