IP Ezee Railcar

Post by Shifty » Sun Oct 05, 2008 5:24 pm

As a break from work / full size steam / steam modelling - and following the success of Plodwynn (see earlier thread) I've just ordered the latest offering from IP Engineering - the Ezee Diesel Railcar. (A brand new loco for less than £30?! Got to get me a one of those!).

Has anyone else built one? Any photos? Am really looking forward to getting cracking on it. I'll upload some pics when she's ready to join the WLR fleet.

John Rogers (Aizoon) has, including the Rapier too. If we're nice to him, could he put some pics up?!

Welcome to the forum (I think it would be appropiete to move this part of the topic to the introduction section).

Regarding the engine, I like the look, but I'm currently saving up for track and a rake of IOM coaches. Plus, the new engines seem to be a bit small to me. I want something cunky to go along with my Lawley.

Welcome to the forum Brian, like the mods you've done to that railcar
"What the hell is that?"
"It's a model icebreaker sir."
"It's a bit big isn't it?"
"It's a full scale model sir....."

None of them are particularly difficult: perhaps new modellers need to be gently led by the hand to show them that a "basic" kit can produce a very worthwhile result.

Got to go in the shed now - Andrew Charman (SMT Editor) wants a review of the other thing I'm building - a VoR bogie coach!
