Judging by the size of ballast displayed it is not standard gauge and probably not narrow gauge either.

So a miniature railway.

OK so back to my first thought of a remote toilet facility Leadhills style.

Eagerly waiting for your 2nd photo clue!

Or it could fit this recent headline from the Daily Post - Ffestiniog Railway to shed staff. But it would be a tight squeeze for 9 people in there I think.

anyway this one is quite easy to get in to.
But is that action lawful?

I appreciate that we are all railway enthusiasts and members of various societies, etc. but if we all cannot freely access the railway in question then that takes the fun out of it for others.

Interesting to see this thread is not getting much action either now, as it feel flat on the other Forum.

Just need to go back to taking topics Off Topic instead!

Oh yes very lawful, you don't have to be a member of any particular society, just need the details of how to get tickets, send off money, then turn up.

dear ye, when Chris metioned Statfold it reminded me of the pic of the garden shed I had.

I say that about the sending off for the tickets, but we got invited by the West Lancs Railway having made friends with them when they brought Stanhope over here. The rest of my pics are here: www.billsrailpics.fpic.co.uk/c902503.html

Ah well.

Both Lawley Hill Railway & Statfold Barn Railway are 'By Invitation Only' (not public access railways) so you are fortunate to have visited them, as I've not had that luck yet.

And for the record, Statfold Barn Railway is actually Standard Gauge, Narrow Gauge & Miniature as well. Not sure I like what he has done to the ex-Java locos, but it is private so he can do what he likes.

No im afraid not, though I tink you are going to have to use that pic for a bit as Midge only sent me 2, and the second one is the probable giveaway
