here's a slightly more dangerous item from my stable.  The Gordon Diplock Aero Railcar.  Goes like a bat out of hell if you let it. Allegedly achieved an actual speed of 30 mph on the Guildford Model Engineers raised track, but will also pootle along at a scale speed quite happily.

Yes please. A video. Thats really got my brain (?) working. Think of the possibilities- the Gordon Diplock aero railcar trials. A yearly event!! 100 new entries every year. Wouldnt it be marvellous. I suppose we d have to build an underground track with a glass roof for safety. The different classes. Motor driven, steam, rubber band , mouse wheel, double mouse wheel, hot air balloon. Tilting track for hogh speed corners. Can it be ready for Peterborough?

What you need to do is set that up running one way and a model of this going the other way!

With regard to the Gordon Diplock car, don't you slow it down by putting it in reverse?
