If anyone is looking for a headstart in a desel-electric homebuild then take a look at this link. These are partial kits for the tried and tested system by Hyde-out Mountain.

I think with some heavy wagons a slow and smokey 16mm loco could be made with this kit.

The kit looks really good and just the thing to get you started but just look at the price!!
It certainly ain't cheap!
And then you's have to get it imported, I can't see it getting through customs without attracting a charge, but I can see it costing nearly £200 to get in on a UK workbench.
