Yeh thats a good idea. When I get the Cheddar Hercules plans I may get a coal fired boiler for that ;)

Well I might just save up for one of them then stick a pony wheel and trailing wheels on it cos I think they look over balance but thats just me being picky.

Here's a pic of my DJB Edrig coal fired boiler kit, beautifully made ! I can't wait to get started with building the loco.

I didn't know DJB were offering a boiler for Wrekin as well. I did read that they were going to offer a coal fired boiler for RH's "Billy"
I agree with comments on adding trailing wheels to Wrekin it does look a bit odd at the back end !

very nice engine there John would love a coal fired engine one day but way out of my price range and postage toaus would be a killer as well. Ill just sit back and drool :D

No Jim, it's also called a boiler exam, exam being short for examination, like in school! :)

Sensible Man, have you heared that there's a German company who've just released a coal-fired Cheddar 'Reisa' for just over £2000!
