Time to build a railway...but where?
Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
A great improvement on an already impressive looking model.

Forgot to ask Peter, where did you get them done, or did you do them...

Rod, as a member of our local model club I have contacts with all manner of traders and manufacturers. There are many people now with affordable 3D printers who are willing to produce items on request.

Try SLR models Rod, very helpful.

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
It has been over three weeks since I added to my thread. The miserable weather, lack of enthusiasm, 'man flu' and other feeble excuses spring to mind, but I have made a positive move and look forward to getting back into gear.
Seeing the new Roundhouse Tram loco made me look at my own which I built last year. I decided to cheat at the time by excluding the all important condensing tubes on the roof and have now realised what a silly mistake that was. You were all too polite to tell me how wrong I was. In order to correct the error and complete the job I knuckled down yesterday to construct a suitable add-on system to attach permanently to the roof and improve the overall appearance. It now looks more like a steam tram.... including the advertising from our sponsor....
I hope this has now broken the spell and I can get on with more projects as the list is continuing to grow ever longer.

Looks good, Peter. Must admit, I didn't notice the omission on the original

Me neither! I do love it though Peter, it's as lovely model in a super livery.

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
Just checked to see who spotted my deliberate mistake ...... unsurprisingly Grant picked it up! I will try harder in future Grant.

That looks nice and more projects still to come......

We are all guilty of making mistakes Peter, you are still up there with the elite for me and you are always an inspiration to me.

Nice addition to the roof Peter,
Dragon Bitter, very suitable, still brewed by Felinfoel in Llanelli.

Perhaps I should send them pictures and ask for samples in return for services rendered?

Give it a go.
If you are unlucky they might send you some. Felinfoel beer is not known local as 'feeling foul' for nothing.

The tubes look great!
If Felinfoel don't come through, you could always change the adverts and try 'Pipes' brewery, particularly appropriate now!
