Intresting Garratts

A bloke used to Roundhouse Billy chassis on his Locobox Darj...

Then used the 2 chassis left over and put a Cheddar Models boiler in making a veritcal Garrat!

I dont think there was a full size vertical boiler Garratt, unless anyone can correct me?

I think you're right unless you count the Dutch Garratt steam trams, but not sure what sort of boiler they had.

Aye I like it well. Back on the subject of intresting garrets I once saw a picture of one made from 2 superior chassis and 1 boiler.

Cool, but they look like Superior chassis. or are they modified Excelsior ones? Comsidering it's an 0-6-0+0-6-0.

For all of you interested in the trials & ptribulations, I'm happy to report it is now not running hot boxes as often, and has entered proper revenue earning traffic.
