Clearance

I'm gradually getting my GRS Hudswell Clarke together and am about to start on the chassis. I intend to use a 24mm diameter wheel (will that be big enough?) and wish to know what clearance I should allow between the lower edge of the buffer beam and the rail. Thank you all.
