A different slant on a running day

Most running days produce great enjoyment from those who turn up to run trains but can be stressful to the host. things like checking and repairing the track work getting the whole house in a good state then the fun with domestic authorities who have their own ideas of what top feed these ravening hordes. Weather and turnout play their part too.

All leads to some real stress to the poor host so how about this...
The railway work day (or shorter time) Invite people to come for a work day, The idea being if they help get your track work to a usable condition or lay the new part of the line then they can run their stock on it.

This leads to enjoying the railway more as you take some ownership of it while the host gets a better line and less stress. Video of before and after as well as the trains going by. A win-win situation that allows learning on different track laying styles and solving those unique problems that each garden provides.
