SLRmidge's Regner Willi Wren takes a goods train past one of the stations on its way towards the upper circuit

The NWAG secret weapons! Bluebottle the railcar gained itself a couple more enemies whilst the killer bunny was back to his old tricks....

....as I said

I took Taliesin which left a nice steam plume in the humid air, especially when storming the steep grade back from the lower loop line. Pitty the fireman turned the gas down a bit too much on a couple of runs...

I've been going to steamups since 2007, and in 5 years this is the first Merlin (as apposed to Merlin Beck) I've seen in steam, a lovely little Mayflower

Midge also took Guillimot the Lady Anne

Another Taliesin, but this time nicely lined

The ACME engineering RoundCraft (or is it AccuHouse?) steam tram. Now would you believe that about 3 mins after I took this pic the weather looked like this!

This was probably the worst rain shower I have ever seen!

Wren bravely carried on untill water dripped down the chimney and put the fire out!
The rain carried on for at least 10 minuites, and everything was thoroughly sodden when we were finally able to escape the conservatory. The patio was flooded, and the railhead through the station in the first pic was under about 3mm underwater!

And the killer bunny was practically swimming in a wagon, luckily he is immune to hypothermia...
Many thanks to our hosts and to the members of the Lancashire group who were present for a great, if damp afternoon. Think my stock has just about dried out...
