Garden Railway Forum

Had a very intresting day yesterday. A rare chance to run some Heritage engines on one of the longest standing railways in this game (yes I know about 2 or 3 different railways have been called clwyd and dee, but still).
A most excellent day was had by all and it was good to get a way from the usual NWAG screams and cries of whoa and no no no no no.
Many thanks to John and Pauline for for inviting us and keeping us well filled with tea/coffee and food despite the (at times) torrential rain.

Despite the rain and the wind PTLRsams Sammy did manage to get a trip out.






Jenny the Kitten/Steamlines rhiedol managed to defy the odds and get some rather sedate laps in (for on ossy anyway)


A very nice scratchbuilt 7/8ths engine. Not sure where this was built though, any ideas guys?


Sams Archangel Darj braved the less than indian summer elements






At what point in my life did I do something to warrent getting stuck in this lot?

A brand new Archangel Rheidol with inside frames




Stewart Browne with a shed load of Archangels (no pun intended)


The Archangel Jack driver in his natural enviroment
Sat on the main running line holding everyone else up.
In reality no one was held up and the Jack behaved itself impeccably.


Exept for this.






Meths fired Manning wardle on a very rare outing.






Even in the absence of laal ratty I had to uphold NWAG tradition an run a double header.

Great pics of a very atmospheric line by the look of it.

Fantastic set of pics Si, glad to see all the NWAG traditions being upheld, would have loved to come but had my own cracking day today and its not every day you get offered a drive of a 5 inch gauge steam loco (jelous, you should be! )
Lovely railway too, and a properly convincing pair of FfR/Penrhyn Ladies, very nice...

Sorry to say but yes alan brigs. Its very good quality but a six month wait is off putting.

What an excellent selection of photos, looks as though a good time was had by all.

One of the best selections of Heritage locos running I've seen in a while.

I do like the Archangel Sammy loco.
