Getting started

Post by Catweasel » Thu Jun 14, 2012 11:32 am

Now that my workshop is about ready, I'm starting on the first of my Big Big projects. I have 2 British and 2 Russian ones. The batteries are being changed to AA types, 4 off, wired series parallel with a speed controller. I have got the Cambrian Type 1 model and it doesn't bring the loco to a complete stop. Checking with Cambrian, they told me that it's a while since the circuit was designed and to fit an off switch between battery and controller in order to avoid battery drain. I've also got some bass wood and Binnie wheels to build some little mine type trams. I'm having fun. When I'm happy with results,I'll post some piccies for you all to have a laugh at. Still looking for Faller E Train L/H points though. Found some in Germany, but the seller wouldn't ship to GB. Boo. Peco are apparently going to bring out some short points next month. Cheers.
Lead me not into temptation, for I can find my own way.
