Garden Railway Shop Poll
I'm with Brian on this one. I always buy from the manufacturer if possible.
I've got my ear to the ground and I've got a lot of personal experience, and I know who I can trust. That doesn't mean getting it 100% right first time, after all, nobody's perfect (except me, obviously). It means being keen to put it right when there's a problem.

Shop poll
Its not only price. Its online shop and info and being able to speak to someone in person. Best of all - getting everthing as cheap too. Brandbright please. Unless I want another IP kit. They dont sell em.
I think to be fair I take into account all those options when purchasing something, whether it be a loco, rolling stock, kit etc.
I do like a good online shop, where I can purchase anything I like at ease and know it will arrive safely, however its equally as pleasing to make a phone call to say Roundhouse or Bandbright and get friendly advice and a all round good service.

I agree with all of the above. I clicked on must have a good online shop because I don't live anywhere near a good railway shop so don't get to one to know the shopkeeper etc etc. It also depends on what I am buying as well. Actually haven't bought anything for the MPLR from a shop for ages, probably since the summer last year!
