Locolines have launched their new VALE OF FFESTINIOG kit!!!! It wont be on the website untill the end of the week, but heres a pic:
Image

It will cost £35 + 3.50 P&P. Although you have to make your own powered bogies (instructions with it), or buy one if you have the money.

I will be getting one once various other kits are completed   I have always wanted to make one, but now a kit is out, looks like I wont have to!

Thanks! I did the design of the new livery and how it would fit on to the loco. It is based on a well-known 1960's BR diesel livery, but all will be revealed in due course.

It could have appeared earlier if it had not had its bogies removed for use under the WHR(C) Funkey early in 2006. It has not run on the FR since then.

Ahhh yes, I see what you mean, and totally agree!

I did the design way back in early 2003 when the NP sponsorship finished. Getting it painted earlier would have meant somebody in authority allowing it to be repainted, but that was unlikely to happen due to it being a diesel. Moving mountains is easier sometimes!

Another sponsorship deal was considered at one time, so we should perhaps consider ourselves lucky that it did not end up looking like this:

Looks good IMHO 8)

As for the other proposed scheme, I'm guessing the sponsor was someone Welsh, seeing as white, green and red are the colours of the Welsh flag...

You've clicked my brain in to gear Murray, perhaps the Urdd were going to sponser it  .
