My new Lyn Loco on the WTD&PBR

Post by grumpfuttock » Mon Jun 30, 2008 11:19 pm

I now installed 2 channel R/C in my new Lyn loco. So here is a video of a test run for anyone who has time to kill    No glaring sun this time, I learnt my lesson from the previous video I made on a sunny December day ! I really should have had some stock standing around on sidings to give a bit more atmosphere, and make up for the lack of buildings. I must say the loco runs beatifully, and I am very pleased with the "chuff".

Fantastic video, and a very nice loco. Like the chuff when going up your gradients.

Also very nice railway.

Thanks for sharing that with us.

A very nice vid mate. That looks like a great line, with what appears to be some very interesting gradients. A line that really needs to be driven.

Great!

Great!
The gradient down to Puffin Bay station is a very steep gradient, less than 1 in 50, and the steepest on the whole line, but I couldn't make it any less without a lot of hard work removing earth from a large area. It does make running trains interesting though. It is fun to roll down the gradient with the regulator fully closed, and then on the curve passing Puffin Bay station, fully open the regulator and let the loco blast its way up the curving gradient.
