what would people say are the best long bogie coaches, for something like an edrig

Yeah, but unless you've got a very powerful Edrig, don't get the Garden Railway Centre versions. They're very heavy, as ptlrcecil will tell you.

Hence the word Accucraft! Caradoc has the same power as an Edrig, should pull 3 GRS ones. Presumably you're not hoping to run these around either of your currect railways Andy?

Have a look at IP engineering, they do several nice coaches with some Ffestiniog inspired coaches comming soon.

They are very heavy.
It doesnt stop Caradoc pulling 5 of them though.
