Another greta video Pete. Thanks for posting it up.

There is a very interesting 2 locos very close in section - hope this railway does not suffer from R/C glitches!

Great video! The fowler looks slightly like the Ratty's 'River Irt' to me.

I know the one you're thinking about, it's like the L&B southern livery is it not?

Erm, not really, its one of the British style Fowlers that is coal fired and painted green

I'm in that one  curly haired muppet that appears in the tour...

Tag's Fowler is gorgeous, been lucky enough to see/ hear/ smell it in action a couple of times now.

The green one that was in GR is the same as Tag's I think, but, well, dark green!

I think it suits black personally, looks like a proper working loco.

Oh yeah, I read that issue, but that loco was for 45mm track, so it didn't look as good in my opion.

:sad11:

:P

I don't run on 45mm... honest...

I think things look fine on 45mm, especially bigger engines like the Fowlers, but I'm a bit biased. Agree they tend to look better on 32mm though, and british steam engines on LGB track never look quite right, it's too chunky.

I think using Peco Sm45 would look a bit better with 45mm, because its more in scale. LGB stuff looks silly in MY opinion cus of the depth of the rails etc.

I know a couple of people who use peco 45mm- had some myself for a while in fact, still have a set track oval somewhere- it looks miles better than LGB.

But is what, double the price? Aslong as you have a tramway or heavily ballasted LGB is good  . I seeing being confident in standing on it a good point aswell.

Elephant proof

Most of my track is LGB. Admittedly there isn't a lot of it, but as I don't have a permanent layout it gets set up, taken apart, re- arranged, trogged up and down the South West and it copes well with the abuse!

It also appears to be Labrador proof, which is another bonus.
