Longmead Branchline Club Day - Saturday 11th June 2011

Post by Tom » Sun Jun 12, 2011 7:14 pm

Well, it was that time of the month again where all sorts of Rolling Stock and Locomotives are let loose on the line  :D . The day saw almost non-stop sunshine, loads of trains running and some never seen before rolling stock / locomotives with lots of fun and laughter. The PR crew and the Photographers were out and about snapping away and here are some of the days highlights   :

'SKYE' could be seen out and about doing some more contract work.

Many Passenger and Goods Trains ran too:

The Mamod ran out of Steam at Pug Halt and was rescued by 'Lymebourne'

And on that thought thats the end of the photos  :D

Im not quite finished though.....

a 1 Minute silence was held after the loss of the Longmead Branches' original Railbus in a major accident last week, details were skecthy, but it didnt go un-noticed as we found 3-4 pieces of the wreckage strewn around during the day, Terry had however throw it away as it was "beyond repair" but we think he did this to hide the evidence from us. The question "where is the railbus" popped up quickly due to it's absence in Longmead Station.

R.I.P (Rest In Pieces)
