A Y6 tram from bits.

Post by cjallenby » Thu Jun 09, 2011 8:40 pm

I am currently building a Y6 tram loco in "G" scale. It will be a look alike rather than a scale model. The loco will have the facilities for both track and battery power and is being made on a Playmobil chassis. All the white plastic is new, and is old ice cream tubs.

Interesting :D Will you be using the ice cream tubs to build the body too? Great idea.

Yes I will, but they will be disguised with real(!) wooden planks so you wont be able to see it :D

Well aside from the playmobil chassis, the two switches were £5, i had the battery charger and the batteries came to £12.99 and the planks will cost £2.99, so just under £20. I wont be painting it or sadly keeping it  since its for another forum member.
