Garden railway open day this weekend

The Glenrock model railway is open for visitors this weekend.

The railway is a part on the Glenrock art studion, next to Gunnislake station (at the end of the branch from Plymouth).

Gunnislake is on the road between Callington (Cornwall) and Tavistock (Devon).

The railway is 0 gauge, and seems to be a pretty well matured set up.

Donations will be going to the RNLI.

I am planning on visiting tomorrow morning - I will get a few pics to post up here

A really nice little railway, and its good to see some of the less finescale 0 gauge models in action.

Older Lima models usually go for a song on eBay (especially if you like european prototypes). It would be pretty cheap & easy to build a very nice railway in this style.

I particularly liked the use of the SM32 track, it really looked good in the garden

That's the clever part!

The sm32 track is more robust for outdoor use, and allows for the massive flanges that older 0 gauge stock has.

He has even sanded back the chairs on the inside of the rails, do that tinplate trains can be run

Looks nice but a bit of a jaunt for me.
I've stayed in that area brfore but don't remember seeing any info on it, maybe my wife saw it first
