AnDel Kit loco

Post by Dr. Bond of the DVLR » Wed Feb 23, 2011 5:42 pm

An up coming release from AnDel is a "Plug and Play" Kit loco. YOu get the choice of a few colours for the body kit, 45mm or 32mm gauge and RC or Manual. All the soldering is ready done. The kit will slightly differ from other AnDel offerings in that some cleaning of flash from the resin castings will be required. Andy is planning other extras to go with the loco to be bought seperately. Looks like a sturdy work horce to me!

Ooooh I like that a lot, for under a ton as well? I think the CVLR board would welcome something like that.
Will be keeping an eye on this.
Tommy Dodd may have an ARS key but I have a TASS button & a Rope Ladder, just like pirates, except the TASS button bit.

I am working very hard to have these kits available at Lincoln and the release date on the website shortly thereafter. Kits are now in stock in the three colours, Green, Blue and Oxide Red, chassis and electrics are progressing as is the instruction writing process.

Price I am hoping to achieve is £95 for the P.W.M. manual speed controlled version. An R/C version is also planned as a kit though at this time I do not know whether I will be able to achieve this as a solder free kit.

Regards, Andy

Very nice, I like the idea of an rc one would this just need a rx fitting buy the owner? The wife is very impressed with the name so it improves my chances even more.

Take a guess at what I've just ordered. Might make cab for it though.

These are all good ideas but I can only do so much, I need to keep on top of the Ffion`s at the moment...

and the website is still down,, though I am hoping that this is temporary and some technician somewhere is going to press a button and hey presto!

Just to add to the list:

Started as a blue one on the wifes orders as soon as we got home "it should be in red" where the first words she said.

She will eventualy be named "Nancy" after Ffion's Nain that passed away at the begining of March.

That looks good, how did you fit the shoppers? You might also notice that I have altered the positions of the castings to make it look a bit more like my other one. What did you paint it with?

Appologies for going of topic. How's the Merseysider loco getting along?
