My next project for myself when I get time is to repair and repaint my early brandbright 'Peldon' Fowler. It was running on 40mhz RC until the faulty mac 5 caught fire (it was given to me as faulty but seemed to work and then it over heated) It always ran better manual so will be converted back to manual, and if I dont get time I may sell it.

anyway, I dont know what colour to put it back into, it is currently in mid brunswick green. had a route around and have listed a short list of a few of the colours i have in stock.

How about CVLR improved loco green...some say similar to (Exactly) to GWR brunswick...
Be ready for the line then!

I like the look of it Matt, maybe as you say, as a diesel man

. Not seen one of those before & I'm interested.

Not that many were produced and i havnt ever seen one for sale. mine was produced in 1990 by brandbright and is the full detail version. As they also did one with no details. I picked this one up at the AGM in 1998. I dare not say how much one is worth now. I'd be more inclined to put it up for sale but im all out of train hauling battery power. I'll bring it over when you have a steam up if I'v got it working!

I will look forward to that Matt, nice to be able to photograph the odditys on the line. The loco looks lovely, well proportioned & full of charecter.
The cab detail looks wonderful as well. Infact in my mind it only needs more detail on the hood section which I think looks a little plain, catches rivets etc would be wonderful there I think.
So how does it run? Powerful or not? 4WD? Battery type & duration?
Can you tell I want to know more about it?

It is 4wd and it is very powerful, not quite enough to pull a failed steamy though. It ran/should run very well when converted back to manual. I runs at a nice scale speed
As for batteries I has 7nmh batteries under the hood and has around a 4 hour duration.

'Peldon', to me, is one of the most aesthetically pleasing NG diesel locos out there.
P-Line Models should be releasing one next year, I'll definitely be getting one and painting it up as 'Peldon' and adding all the extra details. Having no bars access to the prototype will be very helpful!

I think a diesel yellow would look good.
