So where do you read your Garden Rail (One for Tag)

I always seem to read mine here, get the train set up nice & early & kill off time till departure with a good read through.

So where do you read yours, at work, home etc.

I read mine (in summer) sitting in my shed, and in winter in my bedroom, both cases surrounded by projects....

I usually then keep it in my school bag until the next one comes out encase of a dull moment...

Keith, plenty of toilets behind the cab, just no time to use them when you get going. For example part of yesterdays diagram.
16:30 from London Euston, first stop Preston at 18:30. 2 Hours sat mostly at 125mph.
I do carry plastic cups just incase though!

Kabul – if anyone has not guessed yet. Dave Gilman is paid a huge amount of money to defend the embassy against attack – tho I dunno why the US army cannot do this.

Well you are right there. I have sailed with the US Navy but have had little to do with the US military.

I have had the misfortune of serving alongside the US Army and though my own opinion might be considered to be biased, I think the initials US stand for something other than "United States"

I am afraid that some people might not like this reply but I read 'Garden Rail' in W.H. Smith in Worcester. I very rarely buy it as there is not much in of interest and I really dont like those LGB layouts featured with very little owner input.

Now, don't think that I'm having a "pop" - there's not a soapbox in sight,BUT

One of my pet hates is the "Library Syndrome" of folks in WH Smiths who stand in ranks reading the magazines, sometimes making it actually difficult to even get hold of mag Even when you ask politely, they move 1/2 an inch and carry on reading - "I'm sorry" is my usual comment as I use my considerable bulk to nudge them out of my way!
I'm not labelling you as one of these ignaramuses, BUT

You read it, so there must be something of interest in there for you. Why don't you support it? It's not produced as a hobby you know.
Also, consider for a moment anyone who has been attracted to our hobby but maybe doesn't have the time, skills or aptitude to "input" - should they therefore be excluded?
Are you telling me also that you've found nothing inspirational from any of the "LGB layouts" - I know I have.
Finally, with the costs involved for LGB (and equivalent) products, how can you say "very little owner input"? - I'd say that there's usually a considerable financial input involved...................

Considering the fact that you've actually "Bungled" the thread anyway, maybe you should have kept quiet if you couldn't keep On-Topic

One of the reasons that I have my copy on standing order at Smiths is so that I get a pristine copy for my money - not one thats been thumbed through to the extent that it's secondhand

As I've already said, I'm not having a go at you, just maybe prompting a bit of thought about your statements.
