My Edrig: Ben-Ben

Post by mhlr » Sun Mar 09, 2008 8:05 pm

Yesterday, I fitted my locolines Edrig cab sheet decal. It looks good, but the bits around the spectacle plates are wonky, but I cut them out exactly... :( Anyway, still looks good.

Also, SillyBilly made me a nice little coal bunker like the one on his 'Isabelle', and I'm very pleased with it. Cheers mate!!!
I fitted this a while back now, but heres what it looks like:

Nah, I think it's better than painting, as if you cock it up, you can just remove it... I dont really want to paint it yet... I dont mind the gaps, I will turn a blind eye!

mhlr As you say it is a pity that the decal does not fit exactly, but it still looks good. I like your coal bunkers as well.

steamyjim Make sure you time your visit to the Laxey Mines when the Great Laxey Mines Railway is operating, as they are very friendly and it is a good experience. Watching the driver having to duck down whilst going through the tunnel is very interesting, and would not have been allowed on the mainland I'm sure due to H & S. The timetable on the IOM website it still for 2007, but there is a Father's Day on 15 June 2008, when Dads and Grandads travel free - http://www.iomguide.com/laxey/laxey-mines-railway.php

And do not forget that I posted in the IOM thread that there is a wait for the next Edrigs - http://gardenrails.myfreeforum.org/ftop ... asc-30.php

Looking fablous Pete, I agree that the spectacle plates are hard to cut out.
